Hong Guo is a Distinguished James McGill Professor of Physics, McGill University. He is a theoretical condensed matter physicist. This medal is awarded for his life-long pioneering research in developing the theoretical formalism and computational methods for understanding nonequilibrium quantum transport properties of nanoelectronic systems, electronic materials, and device physics.
